Small Group Day Tours from Tauranga

We are a Tauranga Tour Company providing small group tours in the Bay of Plenty region of New Zealand. We do not put you on large buses as we like to provide a personalised experience for our tours.  We specialise in Rotorua day tours, but also have other options available in the Bay of Plenty region. For a fun, relaxing day full of interesting places, travel with Scott Tours.

Knowledgeable and friendly guide

George and Yvonne Scott, who established Scott Tours in 1996, stepped down in 2019 to enjoy a slower pace of life. Geoff Allen, who has been a guide alongside George and Yvonne for 9 years, has continued with their outstanding tour service of enjoyable, down-to-earth, personalised tours from Tauranga to Rotorua. This also includes other New Zealand locations for overseas and New Zealand travellers.

Geoff and Trixie now own the business and will continue with the trusted name of Scott Tours, providing visitors with a sincere insight into what New Zealand is about.

Having travelled widely in New Zealand and overseas, Geoff and Trixie are immensely proud to be able to show visitors this beautiful country we live in. Trixie has the role of Administration and will take care of your requests and enquiries, guiding you through to the completed booking. With extensive knowledge of the region and his care and attention to detail in every aspect of the tours, Geoff will deliver you a most memorable journey with Scott Tours.

The Tiaki Promise is a commitment to care and respect New Zealand

Culture/Manaakitanga

Scott Tours will show respect and care for the people who provide the services at the various tour destinations. A deep level of respect for the guides, their whanau and communities, their stories and information as they escort our passengers around their destination. Our visitors are not just entering a tourist attraction, but entering onto ancestral land with a deep connection to the Maori people.

The Tiaki Promise principles engage Manaakitanga. It invites us all to look through the indigenous lens of our Maori people. For Maori, every mountain, every river, every tree has a story. These stories form connections to their own identities and help to shape their place in the world, their place in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Equally Scott Tours will show Manaakitanga – respect and care to our guests on the tour. There are diverse cultures encountered in our overseas visitors.

Tiaki Promise

Tiaki means to care for People, Place and Culture of New Zealand. The Tiaki Promise is a commitment to care and respect New Zealand for now and for future generations. Travelling in this way is to take the Tiaki Promise.

Flexible and customised tours

We can also customise a tour to your interests, all in the Bay of Plenty region, using the private charter option. Please enquire if you have an individual group requiring a day tour to cover specific interests.

And if you’d like to stay overnight, we’ll adjust the tour programme and can plan accordingly. This also allows you to discover some of the off-the-beaten-track attractions!

Tour information

All tours start from Tauranga and go to either Rotorua or other Bay of Plenty locations.  Pick-ups can be arranged from cruise ships at the Port of Tauranga, Tauranga airport or your Tauranga or Mount Maunganui accommodation.

We look forward to helping you discover our wonderful region.

Warm regards
Trixie & Geoff Allen
